The Centre helped to organize and fund an event in November, held at Birkbeck, called Stoicism for Everyday Life. It brought together classicists, philosophers and psychologists, as well 300 or so members of the public, to talk about how to practice Stoicism in modern life, and to consider its relationship to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Positive Psychology and Christianity.
